Flying Ant Day Imminent?

The brief glimpse of the sun that we were granted this weekend has obviously triggered something in our local ant colony: the first flying ant of the year has been spotted. Only one though, which suggests they are as confused by this weather as we are. They probably threw some poor bugger out of the front door to see what would happen. No doubt they were planning for The Big Event today but I’m guessing that the deluge we have just experienced put the kibosh on that.
